To celebrate 60 years on the throne for Queen Elizabeth II.
Roses, thistles, leeks and shamrock representing England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland were hand embroidered onto the Queen’s coronation dress. I have also used the same plant and flower emblems of the Commonwealth countries in the borders, as appeared on the invitations and programmes used at the coronation in 1953. There is even a recipe in this kit. Constance Spry’s original invention for the Queen’s Coronation banquet – Coronation Chicken.
